The importance of language is essential to every aspect and interaction in our everyday lives. We use language to inform the people around us of what we feel and/or desire. Also, to understand the world around us. Being able to communicate with each other, form bonds, teamwork, and it’s what separates humans from other animal species. Communication drives our lives and better ourselves.
Spanish and Portuguese are the predominant languages of Latin America. Spanish is spoken as first language by about 60% of the population, Portuguese is spoken by about 34% of the population. Portuguese is spoken only in Brazil, the biggest and most populous country in the region. Spanish is the official language of most of the rest of the countries in Latin American, as well as in Cuba, Puerto Rico (where it is co-official with English).
